Ok, profile time. welllll...
I'm a University graduate and a Chef. I'm also gay. I live in Torquay, which is in Devon in the south-west of England, but I'm thinking of moving to Spain at some point. (possibly)
I see myself as relatively easy going, and am not overly religious.. However, I believe in the right of freedom of thought and speech, and fully support anti-censorship.
Although I've just had a brief but passionate fling with an absolutely stunning guy from Santa Barbara, I'm single at the moment, and although not actively looking for a relationship, I usually take any good opportunities! Will actually talk to anybody, although the qualification for a long conversation is BE INTERESTING!!!
I work in a pub-restaurant, and, frankly, I hate my job. Don't get me wrong, I love cooking, it's just the people who get me down. For a start, only one person at work knows that I'm gay. The problem is that, quite often, a professional kitchen is a very testosterone fueled environment, and, especially where I work at the moment, a lot of homophobic predjudice exists. I don't need that kind of hassle, as my job is hard enough as it is. My only respite at work is my friend Jo, whom I told because I figured she was about to guess anyway, and I trust her.
Incidentally, almost everyone else in my life knows, except my parents, who are kinda old fashioned (especially Dad), and I just know that, although they'll probably accept it, things would never be the same between us after any confession. They live abroad, so at the moment it's not a big problem, although I keep having to make lame excuses as to why I don't have a "girlfriend". Oh, and there's my sister. I haven't told her, but I think she may have guessed. I'll tell her soon for sure. [UPDATE: Told my sister! :D)
I have a studio apartment, which is altogether too small, but it's all I can afford at the moment.
I like to look good, and wear a lot of "gothy" style clothing and jewelry (outside work anyway).
I also read and occasionally write online fan-fiction (a great outlet for my wierd imagination) . I work out daily, and web-surf regularly. I also occasionally play Golf (relaxing, if you don't take it too seriously) and I ski very well.
